This morning, as part of our Red Ribbon Week finale, students in grades 7-12 had the powerful opportunity to hear Johnny’s story, shared by his mother, Laura Stack. Johnny was a bright, talented young man whose life was tragically altered by his use of marijuana products. Unlike in decades past, today’s marijuana contains much higher levels of THC—potent chemicals that can profoundly affect the developing brain. Laura’s heartfelt message urged students to avoid marijuana products and prioritize their physical and mental well-being. Ending Red Ribbon Week with Johnny's story served as a powerful reminder of the importance of making choices that protect our health and our future. #RedRibbonWeek #JohnnysAmbassadors #WaterfordCares #WUSD
