Upcoming Vaccine Clinic – No-Cost Immunizations Available!
Waterford Unified School District is hosting a free vaccine clinic for families on Friday, April 11, from 1:00–4:00 PM at the Child Development Center.
If you have a child who is entering school for the first time or promoting to 7th grade, they may need updated immunizations to meet school requirements.
We encourage you to attend this clinic and take advantage of this no-cost option to get your child ready for the upcoming school year.

The WJHS staff started the week off strong with a "Rosie the Riveter" theme of, "YOU CAN DO IT!" for state testing. 8th graders began testing for Science today and we are all confident in our students success.

7th grade students whose SBAC scores met or exceeded standards had the opportunity to enjoy a day out on a bowling field trip. Thank you to our teacher/staff volunteers who took these deserving students out to celebrate! Great job Tigers!
Today, students had the chance to participate in "mock interviews" for those who previously completed "job applications". Both the interviewers and the interviewees did a great job at being professional with full engagement in the activity for College and Career week.
Lunch Flag Football ended in a staff vs. student game, and the Fearless Mavericks won the Championship!!! A big thank you to Mr. Chimente and student, Bastian for hosting and reffing such a great experience!
As a part of College and Career Week WJHS students had the chance to meet local vendors during our very own "Career Fair" - where they learned all about what each organization/company does for the community. We had many students browsing and inquiring, feeling inspired for their futures. Can you guess which was the most popular booth? ... It was Waterford Pet Hospital who had a great display and even brought in two furry visitors.

This week is College & Career Week where our students are given opportunities to explore their career aspirations, learn about different educational pathways, and connect with local employers. On Monday during lunch students took the RIASEC career inventory in order to narrow down their career interests.

As part of Positive Behavioral Intervention & Support (PBIS) our staff has committed to hosting lunchtime activities throughout the month to further encourage our students. Last Friday, students participated in a Roshambo challenge hosted by History teachers, Ms. Ormonde and Mr. Logan - Congratulations to Cadence for your win !

Students from the PHAST JV Club had the opportunity to take a field trip to Sacramento where they participated in a march throughout the Capitol in opposition of the current drug policies. Students also had the chance to speak with legislators informing them about our communities experience with the current policies in place.
The WJHS staff are participating this month in "March Shenanigans" with many eventful days. Last week we celebrated National Cereal Day with Lucky Charms for all, and today we hosted a very "Green" lunch potluck.

Last Friday WJHS was visited by Deputy Borba who stopped by to say hello and pass out sheriff stickers to some of the classes.
This month for "March into Literacy" our students received 2 free books of their choosing! We are so grateful to the ladies from Stanislaus County Library who visited WJHS for the day and presented our students with a such a great gift.
