We hope to see you at Trunk or Treat on Halloween night from 6-8 p.m. in downtown Waterford. Many of our school groups will be there hosting a trunk, including the Transportation Department, music students, Expanded Learning, and more! Join Waterford FFA at their annual Haunted Farm event on October 27th or 28th from 7-9 p.m. Admission is $3 per person or you can donate two cans of food for their canned food drive.

You’re invited to experience an evening of music, laughter, and dance, as Waterford’s students and staff show off their talents at the district-wide talent show! Four talented students will walk away with a $100 cash prize! Entry is $5 for adults, $3 for students, and children under four are free. Concessions are available for purchase. The event will take place at the Waterford Junior High School Multipurpose Room (Gym), 12916 Bentley.

WE NEED YOU! Waterford Unified School District is drafting its Strategic Plan, which will establish goals and set priorities for the next 5 years. It is essential that parents and community members are involved in this process in order to ensure that the goals that are established best meet the needs of students and the community. Today is IT appreciation day, and our amazing Information Technology team is more than deserving of our praise! These tech wizards are highly skilled, dedicated, and adaptable. They perform their tech magic every day, keeping all of our technology systems running and ensuring the best learning environment possible for our students. This summer, they put in long hours to rebuild the technology infrastructure at Moon School during construction while still providing support to the rest of our sites, distributing devices to staff and students, rostering curriculum and education technology tools for teachers, and more - and they did it all with a smile and an unmatched dedication to excellent customer service. Today is International Literacy Day! Did you know one of the greatest indicators of the likelihood of a child's ability to read at grade level is school attendance? Missing school has a negative effect on all learning but is particularly detrimental during primary school because of the negative effect it has on literacy.
